Later, when Rachel and Finn go on a double date with Kurt and Blaine at the karaoke bar, CallbacksBrody runs into the foursome, providing an awkward situation. Finn then insists that Rachel and Brody should sing a duet together on the karaoke, to which they are hesitant, but ultimately agree. After the date, Rachel admits that she and Brody kissed. She thought Finn wanted her to move on after their break-up, but this still upsets Finn leading them to sing Don't Speak.
The Break-Up Cassandra starts off Dance by inviting upperclassmen, including Brody, to assist her in her class, and Brody and Rachel immediately pair off together. Rachel is excited to see him and informs him on her decision to audition for The Glass Menagerie.
Cassandra interrupts their conversation and that ends their interaction for the episode, but not before Rachel makes arrangements with Brody to help her with her audition. Rachel, instead of working with Brody as planned, leaves to see the McKinley High School production of Grease that is being directed by Finn and starring Blaine, with Kurt, at the encouragement of Cassandra.
After getting emotional during the Grease production, Rachel calls Brody's phone which Cassandra answers and cruelly informs Rachel of her and Brody's affair and berates Rachel for being naive about Brody and her audition leaving Rachel devastated. Rachel chooses to leave McKinley, but not before being confronted by Finn who assumes she was crying over Brody. Glease Rachel is in her dance class when Brody walks in taking Cassandra's place.
Rachel then starts packing her stuff and tries to leave. When Brody confronts her, he sense the anger she's having. Rachel tells him that she is angry with the hook-up he had with Cassandra, but he defends himself saying he came onto her and that it was her who walked away from their plans for another guy.
He then grabs her for foxtrot partners. During the dance, Brody gives Rachel a reality check. He tells her that they are now adults and that involves making adult choices, and that he made herself unavailable and that people can't be mind readers. She fires back telling him that you don't need to be a mind reader to now that they are mortal enemies. However, Brody doesn't want to risk the friendship the two have developed and tells her that it won't happen again, which Rachel accepts.
He then changes topics entirely, asking if she is going back to Ohio for Thanksgiving. Rachel tells him about her plans with Kurt, and he finds that slightly depressing knowing her cooking. He tells her that he can't afford to go home, and invites himself over, but also offering to cook for them.
Rachel appears caught off-guard for a second, but then agrees to his request with a warm smile. He then makes a joke about inviting Cassandra, and Rachel laughs at it, implying that all is forgiven. At Rachel and Kurt's apartment, Rachel is smiling over the witty conversation that Brody and Kurt are having. She then speaks up saying that this is great, and Brody agrees, but adds that there is no singing. Immediately Kurt looks to him in shock, and Rachel with humorous anger.
He said that the train was late, and she insisted that he could've gone earlier to his surprise. He explains he was cold, but Rachel asks, "Was that meant to make me feel sorry for you? And he adds that if that was the last day of his life, he would wait forever till that train came just to see her which lifts her mood. Rachel then says she could just heat up the food in the microwave.
Brody explains that there's plenty of time to eat, but he wants to dance. She says there isn't any music on, but he tells her to imagine it.

When Brody tells Rachel that he spent the day at home watching weight-lifting videos, there is a flashback of him exiting a hotel room quickly and secretly, looking at a bundle of money suggesting he is prostituting himself. Girls and Boys on Film Brody doesn't appear in this episode but is mentioned several times by Santana where she expresses her misgivings about "plastic" Brody, revealing that she found a large stash of cash and a pager among his belongings.
Santana starts to accuse Brody of being a drug dealer and an irritated Rachel defends him. Also Brody's voice is heard when Rahcel called him on the phone. Feud Brody first appears in a restaurant and a man talks with him and Brody says that is not his thing and that he just really needs the money for college. Later, he sings How to Be a Heartbreaker while heading towards a woman sitting at a table.
He begins to dance with her as he sings, looking at her intimately. Everyone in the area begins to dance in pairs, singing back-up for Brody. Brody is pushed into the elevator by the mystery woman, as if they are about to kiss. Brody and the woman proceed to dance intimately in the elevator. They soon reach their destiny, and all the pairs dancing along with Brody and the woman dance until they reach their personal rooms.
Closing the blinds, they take off their clothes and Brody pushes the woman on the bed and reminds her that he only takes money, indicating they are going to have sex and therefore he is a gigolo. Later at Kurt and Rachel's apartment, he is seen taking a shower while singing Closer. Santana takes this chance to steal his pager. As Brody teaches a class as the T. Brody sees her and tells the girls off, but Santana quickly shouts an offensive remark, to Brody's surprise.
Santana warns Brody that she is a hardcore friend of Rachel and Kurt and therefore, Brody should move out that night because she knows who he is.

She then proceeds to perform Cold Hearted. As the performance progresses, Santana sings the lyrics directly at Brody who sits down, watching her. On an escort call, Brody's shocked to discover that his latest client is actually Santana, who leaves him in the hotel room to be confronted by Finn. Finn demands that Brody disappear from Rachel's life immediately, but Brody claims that he loves her.

There are flashes of Rachel holding her legs as she sings, watching the class perform ballet, then getting up, walking amidst them with determined eyes. Brody and Rachel are then seen alone in separate rooms, singing along. At the New York apartment, Brody is singing the song while Rachel sleeps and Rachel sings as he sleeps, memories of their times together. The last scene in the apartment room shows Rachel while Brody fades away.
Towards the end of the song, Brody and Rachel are in the NYADA auditorium, and together they finish off the duet with microphone stands and wearing formal clothes. The lights on the stage go off as Rachel and Brody look at each other, hurt. This is the last appearance of Brody on the series. When Rachel asks Cassandra if the whole Brody thing is part of Cassandra's relentless actions after seeing the potential in Rachel, Cassandra says that incidence was because of Brody's abs.
Rachel says, "but yours are so much better. Rachel hears Brody sing Sister Christian in the showers as she listens intently. He comes out of the shower naked which distracts her and they both have a small conversation. Rachel and Brody both have many things in common. Brody is a junior while Rachel is a freshman and Brody has been on broadway, which surprises Rachel.
